I Know What It Means to Fight for What Matters—and to Lose Yourself Doing It.
I’ve spent over 20 years on the frontlines of social justice and nonprofit leadership. From direct service to executive roles, I’ve worked with communities impacted by homelessness, human trafficking, racial and gender injustice, and systemic trauma.
I’ve led teams, shaped programs, built partnerships, and carried missions on my back. And like so many others, I’ve known exhaustion. I’ve felt the hopelessness, the overwhelm, the sense of being pulled in a hundred directions with no space to breathe.
But Something Unexpected Happened
As the years went on, I noticed something: I wasn’t burning out the way so many of my brilliant, committed colleagues were.
Yes, I was tired. Yes, the work was hard. But inside of it all, I felt something else—something stronger. I was thriving.
Not in a surface-level, performative way—but in a deep, grounded way that surprised even me.
I asked myself: Why? And the answer changed everything.
I Had Already Redefined the Work—within Myself.
Somewhere along the way, I had begun leading differently. I had made a quiet, radical decision: that my work would not cost me myself. That I could serve with heart and clarity, without erasing my wholeness. That transformation and contribution didn’t have to be at odds—they could amplify each other.
As I deepened my own growth, healing, and spiritual alignment, I began to see the way forward. And not just for me—but for leadership itself.
I Saw How It Could Be Different..
More elevated. More nourishing. More honest, more effective. More powerful.
I began working differently—with teams, with strategy, with structure, with purpose. And I found myself in places of impact and influence I once couldn’t have imagined:
